RD 933/2021, DE 26 DE OCTUBRE, REGISTRATION OF PASSENGERS

In application of RD 933/2021, of October 26, establishing the obligations of documentary registration and information of individuals or legal entities engaged in the activities of accommodation and rental of motor vehicles, since December 2, 2024, it is mandatory for accommodation establishments located in Spain to collect data from travelers and communicate them by telematic means to the department of the Secretary of State for Security under the Ministry of the Interior.
According to the above mentioned regulation, the purpose of the collection and communication of such data is the prevention of terrorist crimes and other forms of organized crime. You, as a traveler, may contact the Ministry of the Interior to make complaints or claims regarding the processing of this data.
